Malaysia logs 2,328 new Covid cases, 9 deaths

MALAYSIA logged 2,328 new Covid-19 cases and nine deaths yesterday. 

The CovidNow website shows that of the nine fatalities, three were dead-on-arrival cases.

Selangor logged the highest number of infections, at 715, followed by Kuala Lumpur (415) and Sabah (205).

Perak reported 175 cases, Sarawak (140), Negri Sembilan (125), Malacca (109), Kedah (87), Kelantan (76), Penang (75), Johor (66), Pahang (55), Terengganu (34), Putrajaya (36), Labuan (6) and Perlis (9). 

The GitHub data base shows three deaths were reported in Malacca and one each in Johor, Negri Sembilan, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak and Selangor. 

There are currently 1,305 Covid-19 hospitalisations with 35 people in the intensive care unit, while 44 are on ventilators. – September 3, 2022.
