Health Ministry reports 2,340 new Covid cases, 6 deaths

MALAYSIA logged 2,340 Covid-19 infections and six deaths yesterday. 

The CovidNow website showed that of the six fatalities, one was dead on arrival.

Kuala Lumpur logged the highest number of infections with 537 cases, followed by Selangor (492) and Perak (260).

Sabah reported 223 cases, Negri Sembilan (114), Penang (110), Malacca (101), Sarawak (98), Kelantan (83), Johor (76), Pahang (74), Kedah (72), Putrajaya (43), Terengganu (36), Perlis (16) and Labuan (5).

The GitHub database showed two deaths each were reported in Penang and Kuala Lumpur, while Kedah and Selangor reported one death each.

There are currently 1,301 Covid-19 hospitalisations with 27 people in the intensive care unit, while 42 are on ventilators. – September 1, 2022.
