Malaysia logs 2,141 new Covid cases, 4 deaths

MALAYSIA logged 2,141 new Covid-19 cases and four deaths yesterday.

The CovidNow website showed that of the four fatalities, one was a dead-on-arrival case. 

Kuala Lumpur logged the highest number of infections, at 462, followed by Selangor (419) and Sabah (220). 

Perak reported 167 cases, Sarawak (138), Kelantan (113), Malacca (108), Negri Sembilan (101), Kedah (103), Penang (98), Johor (80), Pahang (54), Terengganu (39), Putrajaya (30), Labuan (7) and Perlis (5). 

The GitHub database showed Negri Sembilan, Pahang, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur each logged one death. 

There are currently 1,288 Covid-19 hospitalisations with 22 patients in the intensive care units while 50 are on ventilators. – August 31, 2022.
