SABAHANS will get better jobs if Barisan Nasional (BN) retains power in Sabah, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Abdul Rahman Dahlan.

He said Sabahans could leverage for important posts at the federal level and this will allow them to formulate “favourable” policies for the state.

He said there are possibilities the roles could surpass the existing five Sabahans holding federal minister posts.

Rahman was referring to his position as the minister-in-charge of the Economic Planning Unit, as well as the science and technology, energy, green technology and water, communications and multimedia and foreign affairs ministries.

I can guarantee you your views are being taken care of by the prime minister. If BN is strong, Sabahans stand to obtain better positions than the ones now.

“As we enter the elections, don’t follow your heart. Our strategy is to strengthen BN and win the elections in style, so we can leverage for important roles.

When we have more power and voice, then we can influence federal policies for Sabah

“Choose BN because that is what we are going to deliver,” he said after at the “Ramai-Ramai” programme in Kota Kinabalu today.

He said Sabah is where it is at now due to the strength of BN.

Rahman said BN has polices, development plans and experience to governed the country, while parties like Parti Warisan Sabah had nothing, except emotional pleas to win votes.

“The opposition is going around Sabah, using pleas like ‘please, vote for us, the BN people are bad, they are cruel’.

Sabahans will be doomed to vote them in.”

Rahman said Warisan president Shafie Apdal has no credibility to use the “Sabah for Sabahan” slogan.

“What are his education, development, economic, foreign affairs and social policies?

“He goes around telling emotional stories and is bent on getting revenge. He would not have left BN if he got what he wanted.

“There was something he had asked for, which he did not get” said Rahman.

Rahman could be referring to Prime Minister Najib Razak’s comment that Shafie wanted to become chief minister. – February 25, 2018.
