3,934 new Covid cases, 9 deaths

MALAYSIA yesterday logged 3,934 new Covid-19 cases, compared to 2,345 the day before. 

The CovidNow website showed the country has logged 4,604,670 infections since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

Selangor posted the highest number of daily cases yesterday with 1,321, followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,260) and Sabah (241).

Perak reported 207 new cases, Johor (51), Sarawak (56), Malacca (110), Penang (161), Putrajaya (111), Kedah (79), Pahang (72), Terengganu (33), Kelantan (29) and Perlis (14) and Labuan (15). 

Nine more people died of Covid-19, two of them were dead on arrival.

The deaths were reported in Malacca (2), Perak (2), Selangor (2), Johor (1), Pahang (1) and Penang (1).

The death toll stood at 35,828. 

Fifty-three infectees were in intensive care, 30 of them in need of respiratory support. – July 14, 2022.
