MALAYSIA recorded a slight drop of new Covid-19 cases yesterday at 2,345, compared with 2,417 a day earlier.
According to the CovidNow website, the infection tally since the start of the pandemic crossed the 4.6 million mark.
Kuala Lumpur posted the highest number of infections yesterday with 707, followed by Selangor (650) and Sabah (177).
Perak logged 172 new cases, Johor (83), Sarawak (49), Malacca (61), Penang (97), Putrajaya (86), Kedah (46), Pahang (45), Terengganu (18), Kelantan (25), Perlis (3) and Labuan (4).
The Health Ministry also reported three Covid-19 deaths yesterday, with one classified as dead on arrival.
The cases were from Kedah, Malacca and Perak, bringing the death toll to 35,819.
The number of Covid-19 patients in intensive care units stood at 52, with 31 requiring respiratory support. β July 13, 2022.
