THE Education Ministry’s e-operating system has been hacked, former education minister Maszlee Malik said today.

The Simpang Renggam MP, through a Facebook post, revealed that the system for teachers has been hacked and asked the ministry to immediately address the issue.

“The e-operating website of the Ministry of Education (MOE) has been hacked,” he said.

“The following link is not accessible: https://eoperasi.moe.gov.my/.

“I’m asking MOE to address the matter immediately as the system is for the use of teachers.”

The e-operating system is a base system for teacher management modules developed by the ministry.

The photo of the hacked message, posted by Maszlee, gave a friendly warning to the ministry to rectify the flaws in the system before others from “outside” get into it.

The hacker also said he was hacking for fun and claimed that he had reported the flaws in the system last year to whom he described as “someone” but no action was taken.

The message reads:

“HACKED by 4N5W3R1337

“Please patch your critical vulnerability before someone from ‘outside’ get into your system.

“Amateurs hack systems, professional hack people and if you spend more on coffee than on IT security, you will be hacked. What’s more, you deserve to be hacked.

“I’m hacking just for fun and love finding vulnerabilities, not more than that.

“Already reported to ‘SOMEONE’ about your security last year but never took action. Busy finding black sheep maybe? Lol.”

The hacker also warned the government to stop using people and money, and instead patch the system without trying to waste time searching for him.

While admitting that the details he used to hack the system were fake, he also challenged the government to trace him if possible.

“Stop using people for your sake of f**king pocket and fame. Just patch your system, do not waste your time to trace me.

“It’s because all my infos/IPs are using fake identities. You can try to find me if you can.

“You’re most welcomed. Peace not war. #JanjiDiCapati,” it read.
