FIFTEEN entertainment outlets in the capital city have been found to carry out drug abuse and distribution activities, which are believed to be organised by the outlet owners and drug syndicates.

Malaysia Community Crime Care president Musa Hassan, a former inspector-general of police, revealed this at a special press conference in Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur, today.

“We will pass the list to Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department director Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay. I have also spoken to him about the matter.”

The list also contains the names of the outlet owners, suspected middlemen, and officers or enforcement personnel purportedly providing them protection.

Musa also urged police to work with enforcement agencies and local authorities to combat prostitution involving Thai, Uzbek and Vietnamese nationals at the entertainment centres. – Bernama, June 23, 2022.
