WHILE inflation is unavoidable, it can be addressed by enriching the country through more investments, former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said.
To do this, however, Malaysia must be corruption-free to be attractive to investors, he said today at the “Kemiskinan Rakyat Malaysia Pasca Pandemik Forum”.

On the one hand he says Malaysia must be corruption free but on the other bemoans the fact that investors cannot meet with political figures. Investors dont need to meet politicians to decide on investment but laws that favour it and systems that are not political and run by neutral giver servants with a clear brief. No wonder Malaysia is so far behind Singapore. No need to compare to Indonesia. It was never part of Malaysia. Still investors went to a tiny country rather than Malaysia.
