THE MySejahtera contact tracing app has been updated with a new feature, which the Ministry of Health said will help the public trace infectious diseases in their surrounding area.
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin announced the new feature in a post on Twitter.
“The latest update introduces a new feature. You can now look at infectious diseases such as hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD),” he wrote.
The infectious disease tracker allows the public to look at outbreaks of HFMD, Covid-19, dengue, rabies and measles in their surrounding area.
Khairy also reminded the public to continue wearing masks in crowded places.
“I hope your Aidilfitri celebrations are cheerful. Continue wearing face masks in closed and crowded places.
“If you are symptomatic, self-test and upload your results to MySejahtera,” he said.
Wearing a mask outdoors was made optional on Sunday. However, it remains compulsory indoors and on public transport, including e-hailing vehicles.
At the same time, Malaysia also scrapped the QR code check-in feature on the MySejahtera app. All individuals are allowed to enter all premises, regardless of their vaccination status. – May 3, 2022.
