THREE teenage boys were killed and another was seriously injured after they crashed while racing motorcycles in Jalan Delima, Taman Kota Masai, Pasir Gudang, Johor, yesterday.

Seri Alam police chief Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said the victims who died were aged between 15 and 16, while the injured victim is 17 years old.

“Initial investigations found that the incident happened at about 10.30pm and involved three motorcycles, on which the victims were racing or riding pillion.

“As a result of the accidents, the victims were thrown off their bikes and landed on the roadsides and rocks beside the road.”

Sohaimi advised parents to monitor their children’s activities, especially minors, and not allow them to engage in illegal racing activities.

Police also detained two men, aged 21 and 22, in Pasir Gudang yesterday, believed to be the ones riding motorcycles and doing wheelies in a viral 19-second video. – Bernama, April 23, 2022.
