Sarawak to discuss land border reopening with Indonesia on Monday


Sarawak Deputy Premier Douglas Uggah Embas says though plans are in motion to reopen the Malaysia-Indonesia border, the Malaysia-Brunei border will remain partially shut until April 15. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, April 1, 2022.

THE Sarawak government will have a meeting with the Indonesian consulate-general in Kuching on Monday to discuss the reopening of the state’s land borders with the republic. 

Sarawak Deputy Premier Douglas Uggah Embas said the state will present its standard operating procedure (SOP) proposal at the meeting.
