FULL ticket sales for both the land and air Malaysia-Singapore vaccinated travel lane (VTL) will resume with immediate effect, Wee Ka Siong said.

The transport minister said sales were allowed to resume based on the latest Covid-19 risk assessment.

Wee said there would be no limits on capacity but bus travel will only resume from next Tuesday onwards.

“Based on the current risk evaluations and with approval from the Malaysian Health Ministry, the Transport Ministry wishes to announce that the sale of bus and airline tickets under the VTL between Malaysia and Singapore will fully resume at full capacity for both land and air travel, effective immediately,” he said in a statement.

The sale was temporarily suspended on December 23 due to the Omnicron threat but was partially lifted on January 21.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, however, said the quota was reduced by half of the existing capacity. – February 16, 2022.
