SEDILI assemblyman Rasman Ithnain has denied the sexual harassment allegations made by a Srikandi Bersatu Kota Tinggi division committee member, saying it was a political conspiracy to smear his name.

The police report against Rasman was lodged yesterday in Kota Tinggi, Johor.

“This is a political conspiracy, slander and an attempt to tarnish my dignity and reputation as an elected representative,” he said in a statement.

Rasman said he is discussing with his lawyers to challenge the allegation and take appropriate action against those out to tarnish his name.

“Such a political conspiracy will never weaken my spirit to continue to fight and carry out my responsibilities,” he said.

Kota Tinggi district police chief Hussin Zamora said the report was lodged by a 26-year-old woman.

The woman alleged she had been sexually harassed several times by the state assemblyman. – January 18, 2022.
