Former deputy speaker submits motion to debate Azam’s shares in Parliament

Former Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker Nga Kor Ming has today filed an emergency motion for Parliament to debate the issue of Azam Baki’s ownership of corporate shares in 2015 and 2016. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 17, 2022.

Former Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker Nga Kor Ming (Teluk Intan-PH) has submitted an emergency motion for Parliament to debate Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Azam Baki’s controversial shareholdings in a company.

In the motion dated today, Nga said the issue was urgent and of public interest under Standing Orders 18 (1) (2) and should be debated in Parliament until the investigation on Azam has been concluded.
