MOH reports 18 Covid deaths yesterday

MALAYSIA reported 18 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, three of which were declared dead on arrival (DOA), the Health Ministry said.

Some 31,609 people have died of Covid-19 in Malaysia, of which 6,378 were DOA.

The daily death figure is the sum total of the number of reported fatalities on the day plus cases just confirmed by the health authorities to be due to Covid-19.

The ministry’s GitHub raw data repository showed that Pahang, Perak and Selangor each reported three deaths.

Kedah, Malacca, and Kuala Lumpur each reported two deaths, while Kelantan, Sabah and Terengganu reported one death.

No fatalities were reported in Johor, Negri Sembilan, Perlis, Penang, Sarawak, Labuan and Putrajaya.

Malaysia’s fatality rate stood at 0.8%, with the national average for coronavirus deaths at eight per population of 1 million. – January 6, 2022.
