MALAYSIA reported 5,806 new Covid-19 cases as of noon today, said Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The fresh infections bring the total number of reported cases to 2.64 million.

The case breakdown according to states will be uploaded onto the CovidNow portal after midnight.

The daily count today is higher than the 5,439 cases yesterday, but Covid-19 hospitalisations have dipped to 1,118 from 1,122 a day earlier.

Overall hospital bed utilisation rate stands at 69.2%, of which 36.8% are Covid-19 cases. – December 2, 2021.
