THE police force has launched two portals for the public to make reports like loss of identity cards without going to a police station.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Amar Singh said the e-reporting application does not include crimes that require more police investigation.

“The public can make police reports from their homes or use their smart phones to save time,” said Amar at the General Operations Force base in Cheras today.

The complaints application can also be used at the Taman Tun Dr Ismail police station, he said.

“According to our 2017 records, 150,762 of the 167,274 police reports are about loss of identity cards,” he added.

Amar also launched the Online Checking System, which allows the public to check the progress of their cases.
