MONEY game JJ Poor to Rich (JJPTR) founder Johnson Lee and his two aides will be freed from police custody today.

Their lawyer Jaya Prem Krishnan said the request for remand has been refused by magistrate Dianne Ningrad Nor Azahar at the Bukit Mertajam court this afternoon.

He told reporters that the decision was because the three had already been remanded for six days.

“They had been giving full cooperation since their initial arrest. We hope the police will consider the cooperation given and there will be no more ‘tukar gari’ (rearrests),” he said.

Also present was lawyer Mohd Shukri Ahmad Mansor.

The trio were detained to assist investigation into claims of cheating involving JJPTR.

They were brought to the Bukit Mertajam Court Complex this morning and led into the magistrate’s court at about 10.50am.

Lee and his two aides were brought to Penang and rearrested yesterday.

They were earlier remanded for four days in Klang to assist investigation, following their arrests last Tuesday morning.

Penang commercial crime investigation department chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Ghani Ahmad said five reports were lodged against the company in the state.

Bukit Aman recently said there were 10 reports against JJPTR, with one lodged last Friday in Taiping.

JJPTR, which was said to be involved in forex trading, is based in Penang, where it has the most members. – May 21, 2017.

  • I honestly think this law of rasuah.. money launder.. and criminal breach of trust..must be review back..the momentum of this kind of crime are so huge..it can collapse the structure of good governance...let the law be increase much stiffer.. no bail..let the cilprit stay in for quite some times beside thier asets are being frozen..
The number involve was staggering ..huge..hundreds of million..and they often cut loose bcoz of lack of evidence.

We need to reform these rasuah akta... Not only look into 355 and got tooooo attached to 355.. theres many more big issues to look upon
