Azalina to bring up children’s rights act in Parliament today

THE Dewan Rakyat is expected to focus on the issue of the establishment of the Children’s Commission Act as an independent body to protect the rights and welfare of children in Malaysia.

According to the Order Paper today, the matter is scheduled to be raised during the question-and-answer session by Azalina Othman Said (Pengerang-BN) to the women, family and community development minister.

During the minister’s question time, Dr Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen (Kuching City-PH) is set to ask the transport minister about the government’s efforts to control airfare hikes.

Steven Choong Shiau Yoon (Tebrau-Ind) is slated to ask the home minister which sectors are allowed to hire foreign workers and how many they can hire.

The MPs will today continue the debate on the Supply Bill 2022 tabled by Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz on Friday.

The current meeting of the Dewan Rakyat ends on December 16. – Bernama, November 2, 2021.
