Johor moves to phase 3, Pahang to phase 4 on Friday

Johor will move to phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan on Friday, announces Senior Minister (Defence) Hishammuddin Hussein. – AFP pic, October 5, 2018.

JOHOR will transition from phase 2 to phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) on Friday, said Hishammuddin Hussein.
 
The senior minister (defence) said Pahang will also be moving from phase 3 to phase 4 on the same day.
 
“The transition is based on the guidelines stipulated for the NRP and the risk assessment conducted by the Health Ministry and the National Security Council,” he said in a statement.
 
He said the standard operating procedure will be the same as other states which have transitioned into the two phases.
 
Hishammuddin said the Covid-19 pandemic management special committee has also decided to allow the (sacred thread) thali-tying ceremony for Hindu weddings at temples and holy matrimony rituals for Christian weddings at churches from Saturday.
 
Public auctions for items registered under the housing and local government ministry will also be allowed to resume, provided that the employees have been fully vaccinated.
 
This, however, is only limited to 54 auctioneers identified by the government. Auctions can only be held on the 1st and 7th of each month and the number of employees involved must be in accordance to the capacity allowed under the NRP phases.
 
The tobacco industry and its supply chain are also allowed to operate in states in phase 2 and beyond.
 
Similarly, wholesale markets in phase 2 and phase 3 states are also allowed to operate according to the hours permitted in their licenses. – October 6, 2021.
