MINISTER in the Prime Minister’s department Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof has said there was no emergency cabinet meeting this afternoon as reported by a news portal.

The Bersatu minister said he had not received any notice on the meeting.

“Up to now I have not received any notice of such a meeting. Usually, notices are sent to ministers well before any meeting.

“The cabinet had met last week,” he told The Malaysian Insight

Earlier today Utusan Malaysia online reported there would be an emergency cabinet meeting this afternoon.

The report quoting sources said the meeting will not just involve ministers but the deputy ministers as well.

Deputy Communications and Multimedia Minister Zahidi Zainul Abidin said he had not received any notice to attend such a meeting.

“I did not receive any invitation to such a meeting. I don’t know,” he said. – August 14, 2021.
