Matrade-Google Malaysia collab launches digital market insights tool for SMEs

A DIGITAL market insights tool aimed at assisting small medium enterprises (SMEs) to find new export business opportunities has been introduced. 

Google’s Market Finder – a collaboration between the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) and Google Malaysia – was recently launched at a virtual workshop themed “Mahir Digital Bersama Google” (Master Digital Skills with Google) which was attended by 500 SMEs.
 
The digital module seeks to enable Malaysian SMEs to reach their full export potential by offering a broadened scope of knowledge on exportation. 

Matrade chief executive officer Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz said the strategic partnership between Matrade and Google Malaysia marks an important milestone as it serves to empower SMEs to accelerate their exports by leveraging on digital tools.

“This would also assist SMEs to reduce costs of conducting export business. Matrade looks forward to reigniting exports by Malaysian SMEs through this collaboration,” he said in a statement today. 

The agency urged SMEs to register themselves as members to get access and involvement in its export promotion programmes. 

The membership is complementary and registration can be done via www.matrade.gov.my. – Bernama, August 9, 2021.
