MEMBERS of Parliament from Kuala Lumpur will meet with the Federal Territories Minister tomorrow to discuss measures to be taken to battle the pandemic in the capital.
Annuar Musa said he wanted to listen to suggestions from the lawmakers.
“I want to know their views and suggestions in order to help the people as many are suffering right now,” he said during the launch of Rumah Prihatin at the former Grand Seasons Hotel.
There are 11 lawmakers in Kuala Lumpur, nine of them from Pakatan Harapan, while the other two are from Bersatu.
Annuar also said that the vaccination process was proceeding well in KL, adding that he was confident that everyone would have their two doses by early August.
“Once everyone has been vaccinated, we will have to live with Covid-19 and open more sectors in Kuala Lumpur.
“We want the people to be aware and to comply with the standard operating procedure (SOP) as part of their lifestyle,” he said.
Fourteen localities in Kuala Lumpur are currently under two weeks of enhanced movement-control order (EMCO) until July 16.
Both Selangor and Kuala Lumpur have been reporting a high number of daily Covid-19 cases. – July 15, 2021.
