COVID-19 cases continued to spiral upwards with Malaysia recording 3,788 new infections in the last 24 hours, said Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
In a tweet, the Health Ministry director-general said that this brings the cumulative number of cases since the pandemic started to 408, 713 cases.
Noor Hisham said that Selangor continues to record a high number of cases at 1,265 followed by Sarawak with 760 cases and Kuala Lumpur with 255 cases.
Active cases also increased to 29,227, after 2,640 recoveries.
The 14 deaths today involved 13 Malaysians and one foreigner. The deaths were in Sarawak, Johor, Selangor and Negri Sembilan.
All had co-morbidities and were aged between 40 and 97. – April 30, 2021.
