THE Health Ministry reported three new Covid-19 clusters today, while declaring the end of 14 others.
Director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a statement that the number of active clusters in the country now stands at 381.
The Ladang Sg Pelek cluster in Sepang, Selangor was the only workplace cluster reported today. The cluster, which involved workers of a plantation, registered 32 cases.
Meanwhile, the Patek cluster with 63 cases was discovered in Kelantan. The cluster, which was classified as a community transmission, was traced to a symptomatic index patient.
Cases linked to the cluster were detected in both the Kota Baru and Machang districts.
The third cluster of the day was Pagar Bukit Chagar which involved a detention centre in Johor Bahru. A total of 52 cases were discovered in this cluster following a screening exercise conducted on detainees and staff of the centre.
Noor Hisham also announced the end of the following clusters – Jalan Desa Tropika, Jalan Selisik, Kejatau, Jalan Kepong, Jan Yong, Seruas, Jalan By Pass, Ladang Desa Jerocco, Jalan Seputeh, Jalan Raja, Menara Sri, Rakut, Jalan Sultan construction site and Jalan Jinjang. – March 28, 2021.
