1,302 new Covid-19 cases, Sarawak tops daily tally

Malaysia has reported 1,302 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, with Sarawak leading the tally at 426. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 28, 2021.

MALAYSIA reported 1,302 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, with Sarawak leading the daily tally.

Director-general  of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the fresh cases have brought the national caseload to 341,944.

Sarawak topped the daily tally with 426 cases followed by Selangor and Penang at 256 and 212 respectively.

Meanwhile, 1,127 people have recuperated from the coronavirus.

With this, the total number of Covid-19 recoveries now stands at 326,309.

Four deaths were also reported, which raised the death toll to 1,255.

Noor Hisham said 169 people are in intensive care, 76 of whom are placed under respiratory support. – March 28, 2021.
