THE number of new Covid-19 cases daily continues to drop with 1,208 infections reported in the last 24 hours, said Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The Health director-general said Selangor recorded the highest number of cases at 379.
This is followed by Sarawak with 251 cases and Penang with 142 cases.
The country now has 324,971 cases cumulatively, of which 15,511 are active infections.
Of the active cases, 155 are in the Intensive Care Unit with 70 requiring respiratory assistance.
There were also 1,973 recoveries today, bringing the total number of recoveries to 308,247 cases.
Three deaths were also recorded, raising the number of fatalities to 1,213 cases.
One of the deaths involved a Malaysian male from Johor, age 55, who suffered from diabetes and kidney disease.
The other two are a Malaysian female from Sarawak age 64, who suffered from high blood pressure, gout and kidney disease, and a foreign woman in Selangor, age 70, who had asthma. – March 15, 2021.
