THOSE who get appointments at private healthcare facilities will not have to pay for their vaccinations, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said today.

“If private hospitals are identified as vaccination centres under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, then those who get appointments at private hospitals or clinics, will not have to pay any charges,” he said at the weekly press conference.

He said the cost will be fully paid for by the government.

Khairy added that vaccination centres will be determined based on the current home address.

Close to 1.4 million people who registered for vaccination via MySejahtera had incomplete registrations.

He said they have only filled in their names and identity card numbers without completing the health evaluation questions and providing their latest address. – March 15, 2021.
