RECOVERIES continued to outnumber new Covid-19 cases today, while active cases declined to 18,010.
In a statement, director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that 2,137 people had recovered from the coronavirus, which brings the total number of recoveries from the virus to 298,516.
Meanwhile, he said 1,448 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours, of which only 10 were imported.
He said the fresh cases have brought the nation’s Covid-19 caseload to 317,717.
Noor Hisham also said Selangor led the daily tally with 561 cases followed by Johor and Sarawak with 273 and 199 cases respectively.
He said Labuan and Putrajaya, on the other hand, did not report any new cases.
Noor Hisham said five fatalities were also reported, taking the death toll to 1,191.
Meanwhile, he said 151 people are currently warded in intensive care units, 72 of whom require respiratory support. – March 10, 2021.
