MALAYSIA recorded 1,680 Covid-19 infections and 2,548 recoveries in the past 24 hours, said Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the sixth day of discharges outpacing new admissions.
The total number of recoveries now stands at 289,452 while the national caseload increased to 317,777.
There were also seven deaths today, taking the death toll to 1,166.
Dr Noor Hisham said Selangor topped today’s tally with 826 cases, followed by Sarawak (221) and Johor (139)
He said 21,159 people in the country are still being treated or isolated for Covid-19, with 172 patients in intensive care and 84 of them requiring ventilators. – March 6, 2021.
