Four new Covid-19 clusters, 3 linked to workplace

A sanitation company in Selangor is one four new Covid-19 clusters reported by Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Najjua Zulkefli, March 6, 2021.

FOUR new Covid-19 clusters were reported in the past 24 hours, with three of them involving workplaces, Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.

This puts the total number of active clusters at 478.

One of the new clusters involved workers at a sanitation company in Petaling, Selangor and is called the Lagoon Selatan cluster. It has 12 cases.

In Johor Baru, the Firma Dua cluster linked to a factory, reported 28 cases.

In Jasin, Melaka, the Japan Haji Malek cluster involving workers at a supermarket reported 11 cases.

The last cluster involved a community infection and is in Julau, Sarawak. Called the Bukit Tunggal cluster, it has logged 29 cases. – March 6, 2021.
