DIRECTOR-GENERAL Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today advised people to beware fake Covid-19 vaccines that were sold on the internet.

He said the Health Ministry had been alerted to the development.

“I would like to advise everyone to only take vaccines that are administered by the ministry at its vaccinations centres,” he said at a press conference today.

He said the authorities were investigated some of online advertisements for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and found them to be false.

“We are aware of an advertisement selling the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine online, but we have determined that the advertisement is fake.

“Local authorities are working alongside Interpol to monitor at all times the sale of the Pfizer vaccine online.”

He said only government agencies and agencies that have been certified would receive vaccines from the government. – March 4, 2021.
