Covid-19 recoveries outnumber new infections for 3rd day running

TODAY saw 1,745 new coronavirus cases and 2,276 recoveries over a period of 24 hours, director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a statement today.

This is the third day in a row the number of patients discharged from hospital have outnumbered new cases.

There have been 280,707 recoveries so far against a national caseload of 305,880.

Seven deaths were recorded today, taking the death toll to 1,148.

Selangor reported the most cases with a new daily high of 640 cases, followed by Johor (376) and Sarawak (139)

There are currently 24,025 active cases, 195 of them in intensive care, 95 of them on ventilators. – March 3, 2021.
