Old folk’s home, supermarket, factories among today’s 7 new virus clusters

 SEVEN new Covid-19 clusters were reported today, six in the workplace and one involving a high-risk group, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

Selangor is home to two new factory clusters –  Taman Alam, which reported 23 cases, and Sementa 27, with 13. 

The third workplace cluster in Selangor, called Jalan Mawar, involves a cleaning company and has 10 cases.

Johor also has two factory clusters – Japan DPB Enam which has three cases and Jalan Cyber Satu, which has nine.

In Penang, the Bayan Indah cluster linked to a supermarket reported 25 cases.

The sole high-risk group cluster is linked to an old folk’s home in Negri Sembilan. Called the Jalan Bukit Blossoms cluster, it has 18 infections.

Meanwhile, six cluster were resolved today. They were Jalan Kluang, Taman Sejahtera, Jalan Labuk, Jalan Ragum, Industri Indah and Jalan Mega. 

There are currently 489 active Covid-19 clusters in the country.  – March 2, 2021.
