Recoveries outnumber new infections again

THE number of Covid-19 patients discharged from care today greatly outnumbered the day’s new infections, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

He said there were 2,528 recoveries compared to 1,555 new cases over a period of 24 hours.

This takes total recoveries to 278, 431. The national caseload now stands at 304,135.

Six people died from the virus today, taking the death toll to 1,141.

Noor Hisham said Selangor reported the most cases today with 672, followed by Johor (163) and Sarawak (159).

He said there were 24,563 active cases in the country, 204 of them in intensive care and 96 of them on ventilators. – March 2, 2021.
