Still no-go for karaoke outlets, nightclubs

KARAOKE entertainment outlets and nightclubs are still not allowed to operate, said Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob. 

He said the entertainment outlets are still on the negative list.  

“The government will not compromise on those who flout the law. 

“We will continue to arrest and issue compounds,” he said at a press conference in Putrajaya today. 

He said from March 18 to January 31, the authorities have raided 951 premises. 

“We have issued 9,587 compounds and arrested 4,666 individuals.”

Ismail Sabri said police arrested 745 individuals yesterday for violating the standard operating procedure. 

Of the total, he said 701 were compounded, 41 individuals were remanded while three were granted bail. 

Among the SOP defaults included no physical distancing (156), crossing state and districts without permission (151), not wearing mask (129), premises operating overtime and without permission (57), entertainment centre activities (13) and others (127). – February 9, 2021.
