FIVE new Covid-19 clusters were reported today, with four of them linked to workplaces, said Director-General of Health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
He said this brings total of active clusters in the country to 225.
The Jalan Datuk workplace cluster reported 23 cases, with cases spreading across state lines to Titiwangsa, Kepong, and Lembah Pantai in Kuala Lumpur; Klang and Hulu Langat in Selangor as well as in Putrajaya.
The Jalan Galah cluster in Klang, Selangor, reported 22 cases.
Meanwhile, Johor reported two workplace clusters – Pekeliling and Kampung Baharu – collectively contributing 62 cases.
All four clusters were discovered through targeted screening.
A fifth cluster called Jalan Rasah was reported in Seremban and Putrajaya. The cluster has reported 17 cases.
Noor Hisham said three clusters are now inactive after 28 days of no new cases reported.
The three clusters are the Teduh, Jaya and Berendam. – December 31, 2020.
