THE Covid-19 death toll in Malaysia continues to rise with seven deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
Director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the toll of fatalities now stands at 429.
“In Sabah there were five deaths involving three foreigners and two locals, while the remaining two deaths were from Selangor and Kelantan,” he said during a press conference in Putrajaya today.
Five out of seven victims had medical complications, said Noor Hisham.
“In Selangor, a 66-year-old man had diabetes and kidney problem, while a 52-year-old woman had high blood pressure and diabetes.
“A 52-year-old female in Kedah, as well as a 77-year-old female in Sabah, had high blood pressure and diabetes.”
As for the three foreigners in Sabah, he said two men, aged 57 and 58, had no underlying conditions, while a 76-year-old male had heart problems and high blood pressure. – December 16, 2020.
