FIVE new Covid-19 clusters were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of active clusters in the country to 187, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
He said the five new clusters were in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Johor, which contributed 122 new infections.
Out of the active clusters, 57 had reported an increase in cases today.
The clusters that reported the highest number of new cases were the Seruling (843 cases) and Hentian (315 cases) clusters in Selangor and the Tembok cluster in Kedah (104 cases).
At the Tapak Bina Jalan Bukit cluster in Selangor, a total of 109 individuals have been screened, where 47 cases were detected positive for the virus.
At the Tapak Bina Condong cluster in Kuala Lumpur, a total of 291 individuals have been screened, where 25 cases were detected positive for the virus.
At the Tapak Bina Jalan Stadium cluster in Kuala Lumpur, a total of 97 individuals have been screened, where 15 cases were detected positive for the virus.
At the Jalan Dalam cluster in Johor, a total of 108 individuals have been screened, where 13 cases were detected positive for the virus.
At the Tenun Merah cluster in Johor, a total of 287 individuals have been screened, where 23 cases were detected positive for the virus.
He also said that 217 clusters had ended together with three clusters that are Merbok in Selangor, Lintas and Telipok in Sabah. β December 10, 2020.
