HEALTH Minister Dr Adham Baba is undergoing home quarantine after being exposed to a Covid-19 positive case.
“I have been ordered to undergo the home surveillance order (HSO) until December 18,” he said in a Facebook post today.
This follows his close contact with a media personnel who came to his office on Saturday and who was Covid-19 positive and symptomatic, he said.
The HSO order was issued by the health authorities in Putrajaya.
Adham, who is Tenggara MP, said he will be working from home until the quarantine order ends. This includes conducting meetings and discussions virtually.
“No one is exempted from complying to any orders, including those in power, especially if it includes preventive measures or Covid-19 treatment,” he said.
The Malaysian Insight understands that the quarantine order begun yesterday and is slated to end in 10 days.
This is line with the requirement for patient under investigation identified through contact tracing and is asymptomatic. – December 10, 2020.
