MALAYSIA saw more recoveries from Covid-19 than new cases today, with 2,112 people discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.
With this, the total number of recoveries from the coronavirus now stands at 54,759.
Director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 1,212 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, of which nine were imported.
The fresh cases bring the national caseload to 65,697.
Active cases, on the other hand, stood at 10,578.
Selangor saw the most number of infections today, with 402 cases, followed by Sabah and Negri Sembilan with 326 and 141 cases respectively.
Prison and detention clusters contributed 101 cases.
Meanwhile, three deaths were reported two in Sabah and one in Labuan, bringing total fatalities to 360.
Health authorities also discovered three new clusters of infection.
Meanwhile, 113 patients are currently warded in the intensive care unit, with 42 requiring respiratory support. – November 30, 2020.
