THE conditional movement-control order (CMCO) will be extended until the year-end if Covid-19 cases continue to rise, said Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof.

The minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (special functions) said any decision to introduce CMCO in an area is based on the risk assessment provided by the Health Ministry.
“The ministry evaluates the number of cases in the area and the infection rate from time to time before making its recommendation.
“The government will look at the situation and decide if the CMCO has to be extended till the end of the year,” he said in reply to points raised during the Budget 2021 debate.
Senior minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the CMCO is in place for all states in the peninsula, except Perlis, Pahang and Kelantan, until December 6.
However, the CMCO in Johor, Malacca, Kedah and Terengganu has ended after a decline in cases.
Kelantan has been placed under CMCO since last Friday after a spike there. – November 23, 2020.
