HEALTH authorities reported three new Covid-19 clusters today.
Director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said with this, the number of active clusters in the country now stands at 167.
The first cluster, known as Pengkalan Barat, was discovered in the Southwest district in Penang as well as across state lines in Kerian, Kuala Kangsar and Kinta in Perak.
The index case for this cluster tested positive on November 10 following a workplace screening.
As of noon today, 251 individuals have been screened, with 19 positive.
The ministry also detected another prison cluster in Seremban, Negri Sembilan.
Bakti, which infected 16 people, was traced to a prisoner who tested positive on November 22.
The third cluster, known as Bayam Indah, was discovered in Kulim and Kuala Muda, Kedah after the index case, who was symptomatic, tested positive yesterday.
A total of 70 were screened, with 10 testing positive. β November 22, 2020.
