KUALA Lumpur MPs should be given more information on Covid-19-affected areas in the capital, said Fahmi Fadzil.

Fahmi (Lembah Pantai-PH) said more comprehensive and detailed information on the pandemic must be disseminated to the lawmakers.

“This crisis should include everyone. But, unfortunately those of us in the capital are left out.

“The quality of information circulated by the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre and National Security Council is not detailed like in other states,” the PKR MP said in the Dewan Rakyat today.

Fahmi was referring to the rising number of virus cases in Kuala Lumpur.

“We can see there are red zones, but there is no breakdown on how many have recovered or how many are positive.

“Now, there is the Damanlela cluster where there are more than 1,300 cases at a construction site.

“But unfortunately, many people don’t know (about it).”

Yesterday, Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said from a total of 3,128 construction workers screened, 1,346 cases were recorded.

He said for now there was no need to enforce a full lockdown at the construction site.

Fahmi said there were other areas such as Kepong and Bukit Damansara marked as red zones.

“There are many people living there including Pagoh MP (Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin).

“So, the authorities must give more detailed information to all the KL MPs.

“Include us. We also want to help.”
