THE Health Ministry will review the need to reopen its makeshift hospital at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park (MAEPS) from time to time, Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said as Covid-19 infections showed an increase in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

“We will review the need to reopen MAEPS in Serdang from time to time. As of now we have the capacity in the Sg Buloh Hospital where we have 400 beds,” the director-general of health said in a virtual presser today.

“If there is a need, we will do it,” he added.

Noor Hisham also said the ministry has the experience of setting up the facility within three days.

He added that the ministry has also used the same experience to open six quarantine and low-risk treatment centres in Sabah.
