SABAH continued exporting more Covid-19 cases with 25 of today’s new infections coming from the virus-hit state, which just held elections last Saturday.

The 25 cases with recent travel histories to Sabah are part of the 86 local transmissions reported in the last 24 hours, Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a statement.

They were all detected through arrival screening on passengers departing the state.

These cases are in Kedah (2), Selangor (5), Johor (1), Sarawak (3), Kuala Lumpur (3), Terengganu (3), Pahang (2), Perlis (2), Negeri Sembilan (1), Perak (1), Penang (1) and Labuan (1).

Mandatory screening for travellers arriving from Sabah in other parts of the country Covid-19 began on Sunday, the day after the election, and is to continue until October 10.

After a swab test at the airport, travellers are to stay at home in self-quarantine, pending their test results. – September 30, 2020.
