RIAD ASMAT has been appointed AirAsia chief executive officer, replacing Aireen Omar who resigned last week.
Aireen, however, has been appointed deputy CEO to head AirAsia’s Digital, Transformation and Corporate Service division for.
The announcement was made by AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes in Sepang today.
“Riad is no stranger to AirAsia as he used to head Caterham F1, reporting to me,” said Fernandes at the AirAsia head office near KLIA2.
Riad was previously director for Corporate Planning, Strategy and Business Development for Naza Corporation Holding Sdn Bhd.
