MALAYSIA today reported three new Covid-19 cases, two of which were locally transmitted, Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.
The new cases bring the national toll of infections to 8,737.
The two locally transmitted cases involved foreigners, while the sole imported case was of a Malaysian.
One of the two cases involving foreigners was detected during screening at the Jalan Duta Immigration Depot while the other was detected in Sarawak during an employment screening.
Of the cumulative total number of infections, 77 are active cases.
Meanwhile, 12 people have recovered and been discharged from hospitals as of noon today.
This brings the total number of recoveries to 8,538.
No fatalities were reported, keeping the death toll at 122.
Three patients are currently warded in intensive care units, of which one is intubated. β July 16, 2020.
