SEAT allocations among Perikatan Nasional components must be sorted out “quietly”, said Annuar Musa.

The Federal Territories minister said it is an internal matter between Barisan Nasional, PAS, Bersatu and Gabungan Parti Sarawak.

“We will discuss (seat allocations) quietly. Also, Parliament hasn’t been dissolved. This is all an internal matter.

“We will continue to discuss it like brothers and sisters. Our focus (now) is helping the people,” he told reporters after a walkabout in Kuala Lumpur’s Jalan Alor, a street food heaven, today.

Annuar’s comments come after Rural Development Minister Abd Latiff Ahmad of Bersatu reportedly told a public forum that Sabah Umno is no longer relevant.

Latiff has said his statement was misinterpreted by certain quarters, and apologised for the remarks.

Annuar had said BN would defend all the seats it won in the 14th general election and by-elections.

“BN intends to retain all its traditional seats, whether won (in) GE14 or a by-election.” – July 11, 2020.
